When custom makes sense
Your approval steps are unusual, you price jobs in your own way, staff fill the same details into three apps, or you lose money because things slip between Excel files. Custom software fits the way you already work, so staff learn it faster.
The middle way
Use ready software for the common parts and add a custom module on top that shares the same customers, staff and invoices. You pay only for the unique part and avoid running two systems that do not talk to each other.
