How long does it take to build a custom system?

A simple module on a ready platform can be ready in 1 to 3 weeks. Most custom systems take 1 to 2 months. Systems with many integrations, data migration or compliance needs take longer.

The usual steps

First a meeting to understand how your work runs today. Then a written scope and quotation. After that the build, with a demo you can try along the way. Last come testing with your real data, staff training and going live.

What makes it take longer

Connecting to outside systems such as banks, POS or LHDN, moving messy data from an old system, many approval roles, several branches, and slow feedback. Answers that take a week to come back add a week to the project.

How to keep it on time

Name one person on your side who decides. Send sample documents early: forms, reports, price lists. Start with the part that saves the most time, go live with it, then add the next part.
