How do I register as an employer for EPF, SOCSO and LHDN?
When you hire your first staff, register with KWSP (EPF) within 7 days, with PERKESO (SOCSO and EIS) within 30 days through the ASSIST portal, and with LHDN for an employer tax number through e-Daftar on MyTax. Contributions are paid by the 15th of each month.
KWSP (EPF)
Register within 7 days of hiring the first staff, online through the KWSP employer portal or at a branch, with your SSM documents. You get an employer number and pay each month's EPF by the 15th of the next month.
PERKESO (SOCSO and EIS)
Register within 30 days through the ASSIST portal. SOCSO and EIS are registered and paid together. Register each new staff with PERKESO when they join.
LHDN (employer number)
Apply for an employer tax number (E number) through e-Daftar on MyTax, and upload the documents asked for. You need it to pay PCB and to file Form E each year.
