How do I choose accounting software in Malaysia?

Choose one where your daily work fills the books by itself: invoices, payments, bills, counter sales and payroll. It should handle SST and e-Invoice, give profit and loss and balance sheet reports, and let your accountant log in. Ask what it costs as invoices and users grow.

Less typing, fewer mistakes

The best accounting software is the one you hardly open. When invoices, payments and payroll post themselves, the books stay up to date without anyone typing journal entries from receipts.

What your accountant will ask for

Profit and loss, balance sheet, customer and supplier statements, bank balances and an export. A separate login for the accountant, and a way to close a period so old figures stay the same after tax is filed.

Questions to ask the seller

Is it priced by invoices, users or companies? Does it do SST and e-Invoice to MyInvois? Can it match bank statements? Does payroll post to the books, or is it a separate product? Can I export everything if I move?
