Will my WhatsApp chats disappear if I connect?
No. Your chats stay on your phone and you keep using WhatsApp Business as usual. Choosing Share chat history only copies recent one to one chats into Boss, about six months of text. A backup is optional, and you can connect even if your iCloud or Google Drive is full.
What stays and what is copied
Nothing on your phone is deleted. If you choose to share chat history, Boss gets a copy of your one to one chats so Mei can see what was said before. It covers about six months of text and pictures and files from the last 14 days. Groups do not come in. Your phone keeps every chat.
What changes after connecting
WhatsApp Web and other linked devices are logged out when you connect, so scan the code again to use them. Open WhatsApp Business on your phone at least once every 14 days so the connection stays on. If you do not, Meta disconnects the number and it has to be connected again.
Do I need a backup first
A backup is optional. If you want extra peace of mind you can make one first, but you can still connect when your iCloud or Google Drive space is full. The number must be on the WhatsApp Business app, version 2.24.17 or newer.

Can I still use my phone as before?
Yes. You keep replying from the WhatsApp Business app, and Boss and Mei work beside it.
What happens to old pictures and files?
Pictures and files come in only from the last 14 days. Older ones show as a note in Boss and stay on your phone.
If I disconnect in Boss, are my old chats still there?
Yes. Disconnecting only switches the number off. Boss stops receiving and replying, and your old chats stay and can be switched back on. Deleting is a separate step: you switch it off first and type the number to confirm.
