Is there free accounting software in Malaysia?

Yes. Lucco Boss has free accounting for Malaysian businesses: profit and loss, balance sheet, customer statements and a login for your accountant, with no time limit. Invoices, payments and payroll go into the books by themselves.

What free accounting software should do

At minimum it should give you a profit and loss statement, a balance sheet and customer statements, keep cash and each bank account apart, and let your accountant see the books directly. Also check whether the free plan has a time limit, how many invoices it allows each month and whether you can export your data if you leave.

Check e-Invoice before you choose

Whether you must issue e-Invoices depends on your yearly sales and the current LHDN rules. Check the LHDN e-Invoice page for the latest phase and ask whether the software is ready for it. Lucco is building e-Invoice into Boss now.

How Lucco Boss does it

The books in Lucco Boss are free for good. Every invoice, payment, counter sale and payroll run posts to the right account, so you do not type journal entries. Invoices are free up to 10 a month. Invite your accountant with their own login to see your books.
