Do I need a loyalty app or a stamp card?

A paper stamp card is cheap and fine to start, but cards get lost, can be faked and tell you nothing about who your customers are. A loyalty app keeps points on the customer's phone, lets you remind them and shows who has stopped coming. Jom Lagi in Lucco Boss does this, and customers join by scanning a QR without downloading an app.

When a stamp card is enough

One outlet, a simple offer like buy 9 get 1 free, and no plan to message customers. Print the cards, use a stamp that is hard to copy and set an expiry.

When an app is better

You want to know who your regulars are, remind customers before rewards expire, reward the friends they bring, or run more than one kind of reward. An app also ends lost and fake cards.

What to check in a loyalty app

Customers should not need to download anything to join. Staff should be able to give points fast at the counter. You should only message customers who agreed, and the cost should fit how many customers you have.

How Lucco Boss does it
