How do I send goods in parts and bill once?
Make one sales order for what the customer ordered. Each time you send goods, make a delivery order for that load. At month end, tick the delivery orders and turn them into one invoice. Stock goes down once, when the goods go out, and no delivery order is billed twice.
The flow for partial deliveries
The customer orders 5 boxes. You send 2 today and 3 on Friday. That is one sales order and two delivery orders, each with its own signed paper. The sales order shows for every line how many were ordered, delivered, billed and still to send.
Billing without doing it twice
Tick the delivery orders you want to bill and make one invoice. Each invoice line comes from a delivery order, so the quantity cannot be changed by mistake, and a delivery order that already has an invoice cannot be billed again. If you void the invoice, the delivery order is free to bill again.
